I am a big fan of Pakistan’s Coke Studio. In their later seasons, started this series of promoting folk songs by fusing traditional songs with modern musical instruments. They invite the traditional singers and get them perform along with popular pop culture singers.

This particular song is said to be a urdu/punjabi folk song usually sung during the marriages. Lyric is along the Sufi tradition, where the love is said to be a process of gradually losing your identity and transforming yourself into your lover, so as to blur the distinction between you and your lover.
